As a point total one of the most anticipated home game in franchise history Sunday as the Saints welcome in. The 10 Chicago Bears along with coach Sean Peyton is by BA BA coach Craig first of all thank you for joining us and we had time to go back and look at the game film. What are some things you learned about your team after the dream big game. Number one I think there's there's so much after the first week that you get a chance to see and learn you know we have a lot of young guys planned and in a lot of guys step it up in it and in play and Harden in. And doing well you know I think some guys that are out you know. It was good to see John Kasay command in and go two for two. He's not one of the younger players but -- nonetheless I think that was important for his confidence to Darren Sproles. Certainly stepped up some of our younger defense events. You know each week when you get into a game need you kind of get in with an idea how you want to gain on fold and you know in Green Bay that turned into up at a pretty high scoring affair you know one and so when that happens. You know just the one turnover that comes on the first series or. A couple red zone failures where you settle for field goals. You really can can end -- cost union in new partner they're real good football team but I but I think we learned a lot just about where we're at and we have good work today in the I feel confident about it and into the early part of the season and certainly we're disappointed. With the loss. But that means that were were excited for this this week's game against Chicago. -- -- -- -- Bobby just as a rookie coach Payton also talking about the Chicago Bears a very impressive yesterday what they did defensively five sacks. All quarterback Matt Ryan and it really came be into what they might do on defense and special. Yeah we're looking at that tape and now our players were in today we had a chance to see that game along with a lot of their pre season in last year's games. I think the thing that stands out is is you're right Deke him and there's a philosophy. Lovie Smith in the and his staff have had their and it's been very successful for them there. Their defense that plays very well keeping the ball in front of them. They've always done a great job of creating turnovers. There force you to throw the ball at times underneath that they're gonna play with their -- to the quarterback and a lot of zone schemes and if they can. And then offensively we saw forte play well we saw Cutler at one of his better games in. You know they ended up forcing Atlanta into mistakes and in ended up really playing well and and beat them pretty well so. You were looking at that tape we've got some additional time this week and you know being that we played on Thursday in. Are practiced with our players today it was kind of a bonus practice that we normally wouldn't get on Monday. Coach -- also of them -- questions about some players obviously as Morgan played this past week. But -- here at home in Marcus Colston now how do you prepare is it any different like preparing. Without the services of those guys and maybe -- and certain news service position a guy like mark. Yeah I mean I think this I think Whipple was kinda taken the approach -- the and the next players ready and get our players understand that in. We hate to see a player like markets get injured. You know it happened right towards the end of the game. And probably the third the last play of the game. But we've got other guys will be ready to step in mostly were lance is that as the week progresses. The gardener -- was it was stressed last week. Saddam -- have to be prepared -- in in all scenarios and will get a much better field Wednesday. Where lance is that. We're probably going to be with them more natural for. Three weeks maybe four weeks now it looks like in. We hope to get him back as soon as possible. Coach pay now obviously the turnovers played a big part in the ball game where Green Bay has a high number one day or even though they don't commit a turnover has showed club goes well. And in the ball game the other night. Talking about the importance of these turnover was it just seemed like every game at the winning team is He even owns a plus as has has always been like that is it more. Emphasis on turnover protection now. Well I think when you're playing good football teams it's hard to win games if you finish minus in the turnover ratio in in our game. And the way the NFL is now he's somewhere between. Twelve or fourteen possessions -- game and and so turn over obviously you'd want to -- opponent takes one away from view and and so it's it's it's hard to. Hard to beat anyone if -- lose and that number consistently. We finished minus one the other night we had the one fumble. And and that's something that. Do you know where it was when you're in a close game in your game that was counseling and back and forth. We began chase and that fourteen point lead. But we -- -- we have plenty of opportunities. Again we've got to be more efficient offensively in the raider yeah. We had opportunities where we settled for field goals in any -- an opportunity right at the end of the games so all of us coaches players. You know you take a loss like that you come back and in the thing we've tried this. Really. Emphasize with our players the importance here from week one to week two and you know we finally got a chance to play alive game and I like the fact we got a chance to play last year's Super Bowl champion in in -- -- right away were where we. Where we stood in and where some of the years that we need to continue to improve on. That's what we're doing right now. And you know courts may be looking at the red zone and I think drew said at this the most glaring stat that the whole game is. Red zone efficiency spirits when you're playing a team like the practice Packers when you get the red zone five times you can -- one touchdown. You're not gonna win many teams best in NFL you know one touchdown and -- to bugle. With five red zone opportunities. Now I know that was one area you know we talked about and all season. Getting better on special teams does the everywhere world champs. Dallas and are you wanted to prove and also last season but I'll look at last year we were twenty. In -- red zone offense. Is -- your dreads that considering that we are pretty efficient overall but that's one area that we've struggled. But I think the first thing. That you look at when you when you talk about red zone efficiencies we going to be. Consistently run the football. It's an area of the field that gets shorter smaller and and so the passing game becomes a little bit more challenging. In and I think that's certainly one of the things we feel like we're going to be able to do better this year. Or anxious to get back in in. And improve on that number here you're actually right one when you look statistically when you have those trips inside that area. And in especially in high scoring game that we you know that that we just played. You know was -- scored touchdowns in and you turn around kick a field goal. You know your last four in in that you know to trip position if you -- back and forth so. That's something new that we were better and you know nine and it would have to be better and all of and so worse than. The -- -- time emphasizing that in and taken advantage of those opportunities. Ended up you know courts look in early in the half the -- but it failed to convert from short yardage situations in scoring position. And then you look at goal line a short yardage and I know you feel like you don't want to be in position. Where you always have to trick people to convert and sustain a drive hard to get in the end zone when you look back at the film. And you say obviously a great player like a Clay Matthews that the penetration gave an outside. Which ended up really stop in the play between what you look also the TV copy and fans that told me Andrews said this also that you really didn't get it good. Push what was it totally valuation. When you look at that third one even before that of the fort down situation when we get a play action. And it didn't work out and and obviously it in any game we tried to punch it in there. Was it just individuals get beat I was really overall we just got walked on the line of scrimmage. But I as it is. You know there's there's. There's the detail need to play in the it's something that bit. We tried to each week make sure we focus on and in the challenge always with the -- of football is is. The collective effort I thought we played with real good effort the other night in. And so within the -- the mindset to run the ball well and I think it carry over those years. You know we we had that the third one in Green Bay did a good job earlier in the game at four shutdown of the fourth down call. And there we went with a play action pass later in the game. You know we got to that well basically the final play of the game on the one yard line and and you know the challenge for the guys up front in that in that environment. Is is all the all the noise all the other things that go along with. Play on the road and and again you use your look at it closely. It becomes -- when you're when you're talking about gain any yards and so you go back and forth you wrestle and I think that's played that we're gonna score on. As the year goes on that -- same play. In in the month of September October November. The ambience that we can continue to you know go back to work at it go back to looking closely at. That it took -- timing and in all the elements that go into being efficient knows there isn't. And I think that's an area that you you'll definitely see us do very well with by the end of the season. -- Saints coach Sean Payton he's by you there because they are taking a look back at the saints' first game of the season thus have -- the Packers 42 to 34. Will continue with his exodus of the Saints coaches show on the New Orleans Saints radio network. Saying this is the -- Saints coaches show now Sunday is a big day at the Chicago fans coming to town with the Saints had this season -- the Jonas -- network today I am for the but like countdown to kickoff. And then of course it's -- date with on game day crew Kristian -- -- guys on -- Jim Anderson the Saints and the Bears here Sunday at -- -- with coach Sean Payton coach Payton also earlier in the week last week you agree to your contract states with the franchise a franchise keep you. In black to go through 2015. Are kind of talk about that in the when you got into coaching a did you see yourself look at the level having that much success and head coach average of life -- I guess -- -- -- -- stop at four coaches not long and that's a football league. But you've had a ton of success here -- Well if it starts with. -- ownership in in mister Benson Mickey Loomis the people with the top that it really given us. The resources and in all the things. That you need to have a chance to win in this league in. You know fortunately early on that -- six we were able to establish some momentum. When I think we needed it in and we kind of built on many cheers and it's culminated in 09 with the Super Bowl win. What you what she played in that game and coached in their game and in made that. Trip. Boy your hunger to get back to it is even stronger so. We're thrilled to death to be here for another five years and and feel very fortunate to -- to be in this league in recognize how difficult. That challenges and you know I've been I've been very fortunate to have been around a lot of good football coaches a lot of good assistants that are on this depth here with this now that. That have helped in our game plan and our preparation. You're a year and for mr. Benson and in the organization do to give us this opportunity for another five years. You know what were very excited about it and you know you get into coaching to teach in the early on. You know you think maybe it's going to be the college level and end up in the NFL annals and you end up in a position to be head coach and and it just seems like yesterday it was we were in here and in certain build this program. But they've got two part question first off you look at that you know professional it's it's a high quality play championship playing Darren Sproles. 250 all purpose yards and in. Devery Henderson catching six passes. 400 yards and you look all the injuries now we have to beat Hewitt. At the wide receiver position not knowing yet is that it's -- Lance Moore. And then the He talked about it early Colston being now. Is there any plans to bring in a better receiver. And everyone's speculating Randy Moss. TJ Houshmandzadeh. I -- where you're at right now as far as the depth in the receiving corps. And then also comment on the play it never in Darren Sproles. Well we've number one which you're comfortable with our receiving core that we have intact and and so there is no. Contrary to popular reports this week and missed it I guess and -- also hadn't started a bunch of taxes. But we've we've not visit with him the other receivers we would like to group we have currently. Will have to always be mindful of our game plan as to who's going to be up. Helping in and who's not. There's Sproles who was was outstanding the other the other night and not only in the kicking game but offensively. He's another weapon for us that we've got to find -- get the ball on his hands. A top -- play quietly one of his better games it was great to see him back at full strength. And if -- looked -- yards after contact. For him there were a lot of big plays that came after. First guy had a chance to make the tackle in the and so. Those -- some of the things He does extremely well. But the everyday guys you mentioned will be involved week by week and in and that's you know that's part of the challenge for for almost players coaches alike in in our preparation each week especially. That is against a good Chicago Bears defense. Ended up you know quote making look at that would occur with Charles Woodson. Everyone those very similar to -- parents are I don't wanna see living imagine that you look at and all of me. Type player mean it was so obvious that He wants. Dave Thomas in his opera cut in the -- On now leading get kicked out of the game there. And I know they probably can apply them but to me you should find that kind of play -- and also suspend him for the next game I mean what did you take on that you think. It's because that's what's at navy. They kind of let it slide it is -- gave him a panel Tillman. Yeah it's good question and let's -- is back up the typical protocol is is if there's. You know flagrant punch it regardless of who it is there's an injection. -- and so. Throughout the fines and everything else. That would be I think what does the league is looking for there. Now I'm not. -- know whether He saw. A hole puncher He -- part of Warner I don't know what would the officials saw on the play and I didn't have a great angle on it. He did tell -- during the game. Probably about five minutes afterwards when there was just -- stoppage has completed just inundated disgusted. So. You always look at is viewed it didn't happen. I know that the league wants some consistency when it comes to that and in. And that's not something -- normally would get control with the leaders and so you know players lost their cool little bit. Bit bigger here are allowed punch another player obviously in and and I think that they admitted that. I -- gotten win that that -- That it happened in in in I was destined for the ejection. Is to -- -- good player off the field. But. That being insanity they've made that decision in and moved on not talked to anyone -- the league office about it but certainly think that. They would eliminate that from the game. That Saints coach Sean Payton while Bobby Baird -- that they were. But -- or swap thoughts with coach Payton plus. As coach think about next opponent you know Chicago Bears and -- -- recycling coaches questions for coach -- eight. If the Saints coaches show on the -- Saints radio network. Hey welcome back this -- this -- the Saints coaches show it's now time of the part of the program -- -- -- Questions from you the fan of the settlement cycling coaches question you can question the coach on Peyton that He could either -- them to listen who detonation at saint radio network dot com. Southern recycling environmentally for a full oval 100 in ten years. Coaches who comes from dean moderator He says -- -- in this it to a lot of national news and radio reading things -- Everybody's talked about the Saints defense He says but what about the offense office performance against a very good defense in the Packers. Which we gained more yards against the AM that they did against us could you tell us how the defense graded out for you coach week. Well I think like anything else when when the game's over in in you fall short in in you don't get the win. I think all of us start with with myself all the coaches the players. Begin do by way well what could we do what could we done better and could we do and better each year. You know appointed to special teams we -- that the big punt return really shifted the momentum. And yet we didn't cover kick off well and in net result touchdown. Defensively when we needed stops late in the game. We were able to get them there especially right at the other hand. And in gave ourselves an opportunity it is to the time when the game early on we didn't play as well we would've hoped offensively. We talked about the trips inside the Raiders in the flow of the game like that. We had to settle for field goals twice in in in mist on fourth down. So those are some specific things that you look at and I think -- sensibly. Our guys are playing with a real good energy -- speed Greg's done a great job with his staff of each week looking closely at what the challenges are we got some new faces that that would put -- in and were excited and so. Each game kind of takes on. -- a little bit different flavor if you were Roland. Come and navigate that there was a great challenge for us not only what we saw. From the Packers defense but what we saw from the Packers offense that they're one of the better teams in early. And in that one big reason why is is they can strip the ball around throw very well in and they have a solid running game. He's another southern recycling coaches questions for coach Sean Payton coached this comes from Mac M Marrero is has coached. He's as well and He noticed that Pierre Thomas has had two very good games. In 07 in a way to -- Chicago He says when a player has good gains gets a certain team He says do you go back to a player that had success. Against a team on that track record. I think it's great question. You know we were talking to practice today about the structure of -- defense that would -- -- and and you know you receive more zone coverage. You're gonna see a few fronts that they like to play. Appears there's always seem to. -- honesty he's got very good balance. This is a team that plays the style of defense much like Indianapolis played the year we've we're in the Super Bowl. They're going to be hard to get behind for big play in we're gonna have to do a great job with the ball security because. Not only they try to keep in front of them but they they do a great job of possible into the ball and in strip and ball carriers so. Pierce played very well and in years past we that's close games that would come up short against Chicago and that'd -- this been a team that is is is been kind of a little bit of an Achilles heels force in and there's an opportunity for us to play them at home. We're excited to do that and in front of our fans and it seems like we played on the road against Chicago quite a bit and it'll be going to be great I think atmosphere. Especially haven't Chicago here for home opener. -- and next week could email you southern recycling coaches questions for coach -- -- -- who dat nation that Saints radio network dot com southern recycling. Environmentally friendly for over 100 in teen years -- They're not you know courts they were you setting up the game plan obviously. When you look at dominant players. You said that the protection obviously a Clay Matthews last week against the Packers. And now you're dealing with Julius Peppers. He's coming off a two sacks against the Falcons. Obviously you'd think that certain protection got to be aware of Julius Peppers. We had two sacks at the Falcons. And that even all the decide and also. He instantly Gregg Williams. That it seems like I -- goal would be in a sense. They're trying to make the Bears one dimensional and you know I think you can put pressure on cutlery media -- her balls well as anyone. Maybe not on the level Aaron Rodgers but his arm is unbelievable that you would want a guy like Matt Forte. To get off for all of a sudden when the game's over yes like a 158 total yards of offense. Yeah I mean it in to your point first got to the second point that the rushing totals in this game will be important I think when we when it's all said and done and and now how both teams. Were able to handle time position. In and how efficient they were running the football. I think with Peppers -- thing that there's a little different for us that when He when He was a Carolina we're seeing him more. On both sides of the field and so. You know he'll line up over -- rod -- line up over street. They're moving him around. In in -- actually write you know when you break the huddle especially near nickel situations your third downs you have to have an idea. -- open. Where the chips coming from and Indian Tigers you know how -- how we gonna go about slowing down a real good player a real good pass rusher. Be played well away from the ball EC and chased down please. Looking at a clip of film right now where he's lined up at left defense today and to Atlanta's right. He's got that real real good length and it's speed that makes him a challenge for anybody's blocking. Coach I know -- experienced the highest of the highs it with the Saints as they head coach over the course of time us until six through now. I think Sunday we all are bracing for a special environment because our fan base. And they've really been waiting for -- for a long time -- the team has got to be excited about coming out on the field Sunday. There's no question and in. And I don't exactly what you're talking about -- know our fans feel. There's it is not -- needs to be said they're excited about it we are -- You know it's it's an early start on Sunday but there's some tells me it's going to be loud there and in -- -- players are looking forward opens season at home. And Chicago will be a great opponent force -- a great challenge to the plate XP exceptionally well yesterday against Atlanta. And it didn't gain a lot of confidence early on in and stop and a real good offense. And -- they made the plays offensively that they needed to. Coach -- we -- you look. Argument are right he's Bobby Hebert and Deke Bellavia coming up but just the moment hospice of assists as the coach on the saints' coach he's shooting night is secondary coach. Tony vote but first let's -- ten seconds for station identification. This is the New Orleans Saints radio network. Your first news weather and sports every half hour on WW well. Saints coaches show on the New Orleans Saints radio network back to coach Bobby Grier and take via. And welcome back next week it and is part of the program we bring -- a special -- assistant coach tonight welcome and. New Orleans Saints secondary coach Tony own coach so thank you so much for joining us. Telephone last week against the Green Bay Packers I guess coach look at our offense what we do on a daily basis that did our defense a basket. A some similar looks underneath some similar things for the Green Bay and what you see every day -- -- our team. -- -- I have gas gift for zero cents would -- a lot of great things and in practice. One -- it would probably face morsel this year or to aid in than previous years speed receiver. Communism we've had a couple that we -- you know. In the charter recessed it is we have -- core group received here -- constantly -- is downfield. I'm home with their speed you know also that was similar that was a different similar traits that both teams have had -- pass it will be different equitable -- -- differently. With the quarterback -- -- that the group receives that we faced. Last week we're coming uses seeing. Speed wise. Cotto none no none has made no mention by the draft pick in Patrick Robinson. And the coach -- talked about. How much progress he's made. Looking back on the field. Patrick -- some of the other young guys it was just short amount tan. How have they done -- fall to one game. Well those guys to their progress and it didn't matter as one of things were when we did have all these season obviously He just don't know these guys and com back in. Most of time a decent -- or anyone for that matter. Makes their their biggest jumps from the first it is sick here because there -- don't expect. How bad for the first full offseason as a as a professional athlete. -- -- in the states you know the way we -- -- -- seasons till the techniques you wouldn't know what to expect. But it is trainees come back ready he's come back in shape. -- -- met with agree not a good game He definitely put a lot of work is policies would definitely pleased with his progress nice young guy. -- that laughable learn. Obama is their most important. And it Goetschl and how to use. I don't know when you coach and to keep the player. To build his confidence. When you going to get that quarterback. Like -- you look He completed fourteen of its first fifteen passes on -- 388 yards and three touchdowns and that was just. In the first water then they have sustained drives you to think well you gonna it's a great team. Been but don't break. -- -- ultimately. That the pit -- considering they had 7680. And eighty and 93 yard touchdown drives what do you do. These days not going to be like this every week in marriages but to hang in there a little bit or four. Why you really rely on numbers are fortunate we have brakes are right there Chris but here's the thing He wants policies you know he's faced -- top. The first game you faced one top offices and those guys were very or on the other side of the ball when you know that -- some success. Humble which could do was -- -- you know you talk Redick coming from week to week and from game to game conditions are absolutely different. Thumb but you know they have players also personally they've won a -- and we had to make mission which -- take care or opportunities. Not so with those long drives you know he's he's talked to guys -- keeping it up an integral part make the corrections and and and the things that we can do best. Tom Lotta times when when teams have success. This sucks you have do you do credits on the sometimes things that we can do to stop at -- but -- actually kind of focus on the holes and struck stay positive and upbeat but our guys we could not a good group of guys take -- and have a great group of guys. And -- has some nice better mixture in there -- -- leadership and then Rome and a they knew it was can be okay they knew we stuck together and we continue to fight and do the things that -- talk about -- technique and excuse and into the line that it is going -- turn at some point who's had to weather the storm. Now -- coach -- and look at a thing called than earlier in. One immunized this question but overlook all of a sudden. That's the thing is comes up with a sack I believe now it's third and twelve. -- that they can. You know coach Gregg Williams all of a sudden -- -- -- a three man front and you dropped an eight. Where are doing more coverage it was just it was it just maybe mix it up against Aaron Rodgers why would you may be. Come with back to back blitzes is that part of the chess match we be dealing with which McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers. Without a question you know you eat you kind of have to move your chest peacefully and -- isn't here wouldn't know that we're both contain a lot has to -- expect that so we have to do something that to throw them off a little bit. Just not to get those gas to the comfortable on the concrete little incision. I'm in their minds that that's just part of his sometime like -- three -- sometime require a four man. Sometimes you have five or six impression so we want to keep those guys. On the toes and I expect the same thing down in and -- down out. Now you know coach -- what do you do as a coach and obviously it's not like high school college sure very aware when he's struggling maybe tackling you look at the pre season. And not have been all season what you need to do and all of a sudden maybe you're not having the open field tackles that you -- like with got -- drills that you do. In practice going forward to maybe get better. Because although at times you have to look at athlete also. But in the back in. Our secondary has been on this that tackles in the pre season also in the first game against the Packers. Sure things in a single to are we must deal with the same thing come. And we tackle every day that a bit today sometimes everyday and do some sort of Kapalua broadcast continue to batter batter -- it will keep -- -- -- I'm in tweaked to drills and change drills. David Davis that's something we're very constant Kong's we were part of it. All the time -- there was not tackle missile may love -- -- the want to stand out on the ones that. You miss in the old ones we can't have we don't change what are reasonable and continue to Balkan -- tackle consistently. So wanna continue to work on that and that our guys get better and they're very proud full. They know that that game depends almost make him make tackles on the perimeter. Now you know coach -- on -- you probably hate all this Green stuff like any other coach. But when you -- with Pat Robertson had been any team. He says I don't think Ellis focused as far as my technique and being real focus. And I think I played a little nervous obviously united human if you got nervous everyone has butterflies. But what the hell he's talking about that He wasn't focused and you don't get a bigger stage and kick and all the season with the Green Bay Packers even if you think Gannett. -- and held all seen it. I'm not a dog that's one it would add her chart it is took too much -- most which is. You know -- we were -- is most social Tom -- and in and He knows that. Almost big state some time needed to -- star -- means that you want would just -- speed exactly know. On the deck was normal -- floating on the field that things like that but He would you know. -- the -- -- early but He responded very very well but second quarter He was cut out there which counted and then pressing need to. How without a doubt He belong to that stage He can compete receiver. In this you know as a young guy you know get his feet wet enough. Corner diminished Cuba we have more -- the world and enough pats were you to be fine. We're all sold one hours. As you look at the the next opponent the Chicago Bears and an arresting a guy who was I don't you say if He was. Cast -- but to have basically -- another shot in Roy Williams really coming -- big -- -- He had meant for -- in a way. The talk about this a -- while receiving -- the backs how they do things well with the talented this week against these guys. I take what is very good Courtney and it'll all for different things don't -- defensive table. On the gets beat out there they have size. That's possessions mark our receivers in Nazi yet forte -- back food that can when the ball in Nazi and catches and at the strains. So -- -- useful. It's different from last week's different pass attack. -- ball flew to do actually. But still you know is that this isn't very very good -- and that would definitely -- -- we're excited to. Our best and which get back out there you know has between. Start. Typically yesterday's and so pretty good and you know we're it was sorry but count. I think coach at this away from football for this -- but I notice that we have assisting coaches on we've got to know you over the use -- sure you spent a couple of seasons at West Point that obviously yes right now. Component Vinatieri isn't a lot has done over the weekend's busiest -- of the National Football League. About out on those and eleven being at West Point though what type would take that you have and being in it would have been with their field like. I think what it was we didn't win the title game there but it was the most unbelievable experience and my life it was a but the options abused -- -- take with just dealing with this other cadets in the military community and multifamily something that. How would never ever ever again is very special place. On the desk and so much a part of something special just from being on on capitol post they call there. Home is very unique you know very unique -- -- turgeon want to go to visit in those military academies as a as a very very. Colossus they situation but -- Eagles guys -- some got to keep keep the contract with the media today you know and what they are still people that. Those guys go to military camps are just like you -- you know they understand the military education in almost military. Means to this country they -- serve and they're protecting and it's. Fantastic education. Want -- in that -- sprinkle a little footballer in on it but. Is the coach Joseph thank you so what's the big ones that look to you the Saints Sunday against the Chicago -- out should start kicker. Now that secondary coach at the Saints Tony -- We'll pause and when we come back in FL analyst accounts about extra Mike -- will be with us. As -- also little gravity and have seen. And that in the NFC south no one in the vision. Won a game this week here we'll talk about that and of course Mike's thoughts. On the Chicago fans even here to answer from -- coach Lovie Smith the white thinks -- defense -- -- If the want people there waiting for for a long time Sunday the Saints will take on the bay is in the L right here on the Saints radio network. You know get off the bus blitzing we feel like. We can get pressure with -- four man -- we've been talking a lot of Buck Henry Melton. And I would we thought He would bring to the group. And Julius Peppers this horse is up or get a deal with me out this but that sets everything up being the get that pressure or play a little bit more covered. And welcome back -- this -- of the Saints coaches show on the New Orleans Saints radio network none bigger may be. In franchise history got to say when the Saints reopen the dome. Of course the NFC champ to gain all the playoff game both from a regular season standpoint this is as good against the Chicago Bears come to town Sunday. That was the voice of Lovie Smith at these teams thirty to twelve victory over Atlanta -- lower -- and we bring -- FL analysts think Kosovo expert Mike TH. And my coach Lovie Smith is the fifth was masterful yesterday's -- special teams. And they don't need much offense but if they get that type offense that they're difficult to beat. That was as bad up down look good offensive line -- us you know long. They've really physically manhandled the Falcons offensive line you know it's been a part of the Falcons probably unsung part of that football team with their success. Is how well they've played up front. Hand and eight pages ripped a sport and basically stole the pace of Bob and I was talking about they still will face completely away from Atlanta. It put him into the Pro Bowl. Constantly -- seven matches in no way in hell you wanna do about that when it sort of afforded him at times that the -- -- what did. You wanna talk of like get after the quarterback. Yeah you guys the Barrett come up with five sacks without that that -- that. Now you look at colors hung in there when it to a thirty. We gotta get out the color as the game I'll be disappointed. If we don't have at least three sacks when all said and done. Now I think the we talked about it earlier we talked the Chicago reporter. That's if the key you think the crowd and the noise. The thing the bits -- line against a pair of the line know we have to win we have to win that battle. Going Clark to get that swagger to get them competent. And and hopefully that's the case because of Matt Forte key get all -- and Jay Cutler has that security blanket. We can't have all said and done all of -- Matt Forte had about a 168. A 170. Total yards. At the receiver and rusher Beth thank you but the thing. The He has quietly developed into one of the best all purpose backs in the NFL -- you don't hear a lot of bodies because of the fact that. You know so much and -- -- kind of overlaps Devin Hester on special teams but Mahan Matt Forte this. Really turned out to be a tremendous football live well at bats and he's really distraught and there's district Cuomo on office. -- another beat -- was also a national game yesterday in the Baltimore Ravens the Pittsburgh Steelers and I saw last night at the very good game between Dallas the kids. Character that Mike Florio of pro football hall put on view post screen and He could pay it every major statistic. Between Matt Ryan Joseph Flacco and they almost identical. -- Matt Bryant -- -- -- hit the couple in the flag goes ahead a couple of public debate statistics. If you think about the success -- -- well I mean but the the post season success is not even close Flacco has been dominant compared to where Ryan hasn't won a playoff game. Yeah I think I thought yesterday just the big change was. The play of the Ravens offensive tackles they picked up Bryant McKinnie put him at left tackle. And they -- Michael Moore and would -- opened the right side. Did you hear a lot of what James Harrison and LaMarr -- that -- -- -- basically would have been hip pocket I thought that was the big difference they keep. Actual some time to throw the ball down field He was affected because the young tight ends involved and Ray Rice so. You know I think a lot of times when you look at a lot of backs. I think probably more than any other position. Its effect it will a lot of people around them. He puts it well protected yesterday and other games what -- Our Harrison would take awful. And yesterday eight -- get all jump street. Basically you've got to here of game balls to McKinney. And also Michael war on how well they controlled that great pass rush but as -- come about yet. But you know listen Flacco made the plays he's always had that ability not giving him a little more time -- sort of football now do you think that's important. Mike the rest of the National Football League interesting last night. Another guy who's been plagued by his postseason struggles one in three a fourteen point lead they've made to -- What was Tony Romo thing. No had a -- going on. But you know it's hot they've won that game yeah they. -- everything about it but it's all or added you have a situation. Where the fumble really changed the course of the game. You know -- it's unbelievable. How this football team that you got a question a little bit late in the game. Is that in their minds all we -- find a -- of -- Because they. This game basically -- and saw it slip away you wanted out -- it's this become a mental thing. What they are cowboy football team you saw Rob Ryan did -- that game. Mean He was hot and He basically felt He does that happen in evil in his office gave that game away. Yeah because I think if you look at that I mean. And you look at the numbers that you told me that you look at -- payroll the last five seasons. He's up there with the best of the best that He is not a crew that's not what brought one back clutch in crucial times. I -- outlook toward it to the 35 notes that the creator party five yards. Public acknowledgment that interception at the end and it seems like at the same old song and dance. And you look of a Mark Sanchez. Looked like He was struggling in these 26 of 44. Through -- thirty five yards two touchdowns in his absence but it's obvious but yeah that's how it. Great but a lot of that whenever I but the dates blind. All right guys it's go to be a big -- this week at the dome the Saints will hope to Chicago fans in the nation it's the Chicago Bears in the home back in all if you -- but it. Since the end of the -- season. All right thank you so much for joining us is John Ross about frostbite can you coach Payton coach told me and Bobby Hebert and Deke Bellavia don't mistakes Monday Night Football the -- coach issue -- all the things that you network.
